![five motorcycle pocket essential tools]()
When heading out, you know you’ve got your spectacles, your wallet, and other essentials. But here are a few more things you should make room for.
First, carry a spare key, preferably tucked into an inside pocket or somewhere else that it’ll be hard to misplace. Next, a small pen-sized air-pressure gauge. One you can keep in your riding jacket is convenient, and if it’s convenient, you’ll use it. Another item is a multitool or pocket knife, like the popular Leatherman or its competitors/knockoffs. It doesn’t replace a proper tool kit, but can be a big help. A small pocket type flashlight can make a big difference. Carry a penlight or an LED-type attached to your keychain for reading maps or nighttime repairs. Lastly, bikes can be loud, and wind noise even louder. If they're legal in your area, protect your hearing with earplugs.
